Whew
What a month! July 2019 was our best month yet. I celebrated my one year Stampin' Up Anniversary and we added new team members to our team. Bayside Paper Crafters is growing!
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way!
Come Sail Away Travel Journal
I recently took a class at my local Scrapbook store and learned how to make a travel journal. It is super cute and wicked easy and now I can't stop making them! This measures approx 7.25" tall and 5 5/8" wide. You don't need to use it as a travel journal, either. It would work great as a planner!
My husband, daughter and I are going to be going on a cruise for our summer vacation and I thought that using the Come Sail Away suite to make a travel journal would be a good idea for me to jot down things the day we do them - no more guessing 6 months from now what we did and when. Plus, there is an inside pocket for me to put maps, ferry tickets, and other small trinkets.
Here is the finished project:
For this journal, I used the Come Sail Away Memories & More cards as well as the Designer Series Paper from the Come Sail Away suite. The sheets inside are Night of Navy, Whisper White and Balmy Blue cardstock from Stampin' Up. The directions I had called for 20 pages of regular copy paper for the insert. Because I used cardstock, 20 pages would have been too much. I used 10 pages total. All of the edges are rounded. The cardstock is perfect for me as I will use this as a scrapbook.
I did laminate the journal - you want the cover and the inside folders sturdy. But, because it is laminated I was not able to add any die cuts. I would not add any more layers to this as the laminator may not work if you add more layers.
I still think it's useful and very cute. It will definitely fit the mood on our ship!

I did get the measurements for this from Papercraft Clubhouse in Westbrook, Connecticut. Tracie and her crew gave credit to Angela Beavers at Creative Chaos and "Kim Kan't Stop Krafting" for Country Craft Creations.
Have a great week, everyone and Happy Crafting!
