Are You Ready for a Whale of a Time?

WHALE OF A TIME ONLINE CLASS

I am having another online class.  We had a lot of fun when we did the Boho Indigo Medley class this month. And, even though it is via zoom and it’s not in person - it’s actually more fun than you would think.  I miss holding events in person but online is the next best thing!

The August class will be featuring the Whale of a Time suite.

As of the time I am writing this, both the sequins and the embossing folder are sold out.  The sequins are due back in stock at the end of this month and the embossing folder in early August.  If they come in before the class, I will offer them to you as an add-on.

Whale Done Stamps and Whale Builder Punch

Whale of a Time DSP

We will be making 4 cards, an adorable 3D box and a double page scrapbook layout

We will also be using the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper and the Stitched Triangle Dies.

At least 2 of the cards will have fancy folds.

You will not be disappointed.

There are 4 options for this class:

1.      Option 1 – class only.  $25.00.  I will prepare everything you will need for the class except for the stamps as we are not allowed to send stamped images.    You could use your own existing stamp set on this if you chose.  You will also get the pdf instructions.

Option 2 – Class plus stamp set - $40.00.  I will prepare everything you need for the class as well.  You will get the stamp set so you can stamp the sentiments.  This will also include the pdf instructions.

 3.       Option 3 – Class plus the bundle - $59.50.  I will prepare everything you need for the class as well.  You will get both the stamp set and the whale punch.  I will include an ink pad of your choice.  The coordinating colors for this are Balmy Blue, Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Just Jade, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White.  Please note that some of these are either low inventory or backordered.  If you know you want something in particular, I would recommend ordering it ASAP.

4.   Option 4 – pdf only.  The pdf is $15.00.  This includes the instructions as well as a color photo of the finished product.

This class is great for kids AND adults.  It has some punny sentiments and it lends itself to both cards AND scrapbooking.  And, you know I love it when a stamp set can do double duty!

If you are interested in joining, I would love to have you.

Please send an email to baysidepapercrafters@gmail.com and I will send you the invoice.

If you would like the pdf only, I will send as soon as it is finalized!

Happy Crafting my crafty friends!

Scrapbooking Global Stampin’ Up! Blog Hop - Monochromatic

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the July 2020 Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Blog Hop.  Thanks so much for participating.   Each month a talented group of scrapbookers from all over the world get together to create and share their beautiful designs with you! This is my first month and I am so happy to be with this amazing group of people.

I am Megan from the United States and you have just come from Amanda's page.

Here is a sneak peak:

Each month, one of our amazing designers gets to choose the theme of the month. This month our theme is Monochromatic.

What exactly is monochromatic? Monochromatic are all colors from the same hue; all yellows, or reds, or blues...in my case I chose green (I am sorry I really tried to get away from a blue or green). What is great about Monochromatic colors is you know that all of the colors will match because they are from the same hue.

This month, the Design Team Member who decided the Monochromatic Theme is Mai Chapelain.

Here is my submission for July.

Here are some close ups....

I used the square vellum doilies as stencils and used Just Jade, Garden Green and Bermuda Bay ink to stencil.  I used two of the doilies as accent pieces because I just loved how it looked.  The hardest part was figuring out which base color to use.  I decided I would go with the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper and use the greens.  I initially wanted to use the fern die with the Forever Flourishing Dies.

However, I decided to use this photo because (if you can see it) the bottom of the photo has a color that is very similar to Just Jade (I love how my life comes together).  So, once I chose this photo I knew I couldn't use ferns (they aren't found in Bermuda that I've seen) but I did decide to go ahead and use the dies from the Boho Indigo Medley.  This medley is great and has the palm leaf (or at least it looks like a palm).
I decided to use the World of Good bundle for the globes and the sentiment...they go perfect with a scrapbook page for travel!  The colors and the sentiments are a great way for me to highlight our annual (until this year) cruise to Bermuda.

Doing this page brought back some great memories!!

I hope that your scrapbooking brings you as much joy and happiness as mine does to me.

Cynthia

Boho Indigo Medley

Welcome to the Boho Indigo Medley Product Feature

I joined the Boho Indigo Product Feature group on Facebook and as much as I LOVE the Boho Indigo Medley Designer Series Paper I wanted to challenge myself to 1) not use the paper 2) use the coordinating stamp set and dies and 3) not use blue (at all)...

Here is my card for this showcase

And, here is a closeup

If you would like to see how I made this card, here is the YouTube video:

Enjoy the product feature and Happy Crafting everyone!

All I Can Say is Wow!

I posted this layout to the Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! page on facebook and the response has been amazing.   So, I decided this weeks post would be about this layout.

This layout was a labor of love.  I knew I wanted to design a layout using the Whale of a Time suite from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  I knew I wanted to use the turtles (if you've seen the paper, you see the little guy staring back to you...he reminds me of Crush in Finding Nemo).  Anyway...I just love the paper and the colors...blues and greens.

One of these days I'll get away from blues and greens (but it isn't today).

This layout took 2 videos (and the 2nd video is lengthy).  If you are interested in making this layout and making it your own I encourage you to save the videos and come back to them.  I tried to cut out the stuff that wouldn't help.

Here is the first video:

It is messy but SOOOOO much fun to play with products...you just never know what you will come up with or create.  The first time I mixed the embossing paste and our reinkers I made an even bigger mess (imagine that).

Here is the 2nd video:

As I said, it is lengthy but you can save it and come back to it.

Here is the finished product

When I first started the page it was my intent to do a 2 page layout...I am still considering it but I love the page as it is.  It is always my hope that when I do a video, or teach a class, that someone learns something new.

I hope you enjoy!

Happy Crafting Everyone!
