It's time for Fall
School has started and for many of us (me included), that means summer is almost over and we are hanging onto every little bit of summer I can. We took some time off for vacation and I am back in the saddle now that things are hopping with Stampin' Up.
The August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, The Gift of Fall, came while we were away and I really didn't have a chance to play with it before our Paper Pumpkin club the other night. This weekend, though, I have been having some fun with the kit.
The ideas for these cards came up last night when I was talking to a friend and Stampin' Up demonstrator (who is also one of my downlines) about the Pigment Sprinkles. The Pigment Sprinkles are new as of this past June and she wanted to know what to do with them and asked me to do a video. So, I started playing around wondering what to do. You will find the pigment sprinkles here

At first, I was going to use the Bermuda Bay but then I made a mess (by accident) and mixed up the Daffodil Delight and the Melon Mambo with the Mango Melody and I got a gorgeous orange which got me thinking about fall.
I knew I had some stuff leftover from the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit because I hadn't used up all of the embellishments that went with it and I also knew I had some scraps left from 2 of the cards with the add on kit this month so I decided to play around and see what I could come up with.
Here are the finished products using the Pigment Sprinkles and the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit.

Now, those of you who know me know that I used to be a rebel in my younger days and some days I still don't like to follow directions...and that is so true of Paper Pumpkin. I always do alternative projects because I think the Paper Pumpkin kits are great - not just for beginners but they are so versatile and if you are an avid crafter you can definitely use them for a quick project or you can use them to help you find inspiration and then step out of the box.
This month's kit was 6 gift bags...here is a sample of what a few of my bags looked like.

The bags are wicked cute and no I did not follow the instructions for the tags...I think these will be great at Thanksgiving for nameplates at the table (I may get a little Martha Stewarty at times).
I did buy the add on kit that Stampin' Up offered because, honestly, I wasn't sure what the bag would look like. I did buy the add on kits as soon as they went on sale just in case they sold out (as of this writing, they are still available here. The kit comes with 24 cards and is only $10. You do need to be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to purchase...as if you didn't need another reason to join Paper Pumpkin.
Now, as I said, I always do alternatives...here are some of my alternatives from August. You do not need to have the experience to do these cards. Everything you need comes in the kit (except the add on of course).

Some of them have more embellishments than others and some take more steps than others but I promise you - you can do this!
The September 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit is Halloween. If you would like to sign up to see what Paper Pumpkin is all about, you may go here and sign up. You have the option of doing month to month or prepaying for 3, 6 or 12 months.
Now, for the last card I made today. I did a video this morning (if you follow me on Facebook at Bayside Paper Crafters you can find it) and in the video I demonstrated how to use the Pigment Sprinkles but I did have a card front left over from my demonstration. I made it into a card using the Gather Together bundle which is in the new holiday catalog that goes live on September 4th. I love this bundle. I also used a punch that will also be available and I used up the scraps from the Paper Pumpkin add on kit for the pumpkins and the bigger leaves.

If you do not have a Stampin' Up demonstrator and are interested in any of these products, I would love to show you how to use them. You can go to my Stampin' Up site here. I am also on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest at Bayside Paper Crafters.
I hope you have enjoyed today's blog.
Happy Stamping!
Megan
